ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
It's kind of fun to look back into the past and see where my roots in advertising began. I was involved in the earliest to the heaviest days of interactive design using HTML and Flash. Leading digital design for T-Mobile web hubs, I was asked to come up with some concepts that played off the navigation of the Garminfone.
Using daily patterns, I wanted to embark on a social media journey by allowing users of Garminfone to track their daily progress and map out their routes to see if it would deliver them opportunities to engage and interact with others in their daily lives. I wanted to know if their lives would be impacted enough to take a road less traveled using Garminfone navigation suggestions. Archetypes would be assigned to them as an "emoji" of sorts that identify a user persona based on demographics, interests, geolocation, behaviors, survey tracking and how they used their phone.
A lifestyle social media option that played on the idea of a journal called "Our Journey" using Garminfone navigation.
Another concept for Garminfone. This time the branding was the target and the emblem was used as a way-finder of sorts that directed a hub of activity for users to browse and learn about several features of the Garminfone. This concept was shared with another designer.
